SANRIO Hello Kitty Town dan The Little Big Club akhirnya membuka pintu menerima kunjungan orang ramai.

Pembukaan dua taman tema ini adalah satu lagi tanda pencapaian besar Themed Attractions and Resort selepas Legoland Malaysia dibuka September lalu.

Sanrio Hello Kitty Town dan The Little Big Club terletak di Puteri Harbour, Nusajaya dan tidak jauh dari Legoland Malaysia.

Pengunjung kini boleh merasai sendiri pelbagai aktiviti yang ditawarkan dan berpeluang berinteraksi dengan watak-watak yang digemari dari Sanrio Hello Kitty Town dan The Little Big Club.

Pembukaan taman tema ini mencatat sejarah kerana inilah Sanrio Hello Kitty Town pertama di buka di luar Jepun dan mengumpulkan watak-watak dari The Little Big Club antaranya Bob the Builder, Barney, Anglina Ballerina, Pingu serta Thomas & Friends di bawah satu bumbung.

Pengunjung pastinya akan terhibur dengan persembahan khas, menunggang pelbagai permainan di taman tema dan mengambil bahagian dalam pelbagai aktiviti dengan kakitangan taman tema yang mesra.

Selepas puas melakukan aktiviti menyeronokkan, pengunjung boleh menjamu selera dengan hidangan enak di The Red Bow Cafe, Cinnamaroll atau McBunn Cafe.

Bersempena dengan pembukaan itu, Sanrio Hello Kitty Town menerbangkan dua artis dari Jepun iaitu Kojima dan Tsukimori.

Kedua-dua artis berbakat itu akan mempamerkan kreativiti mereka dalam seni lukisan kertas dan kuku kepada pengunjung.

Pengarah Urusan dan Ketua Eksekutif Themed Attractions and Resort Sdn Bhd, Burhanuddin Tunku Datuk Ahmad, berkata pihaknya sangat berbangga dengan pembukaan dua lagi tarikan di Puteri Harbour itu.

Beliau berkata, pembukaan Sanrio Hello Kitty Town dan The Little Big Club memberikan lebih banyak sebab untuk orang ramai menghabiskan masa berkualiti bersama keluarga di Nusajaya.

“Kami komited menyediakan tarikan taman tema bertaraf dunia dan kedudukan Nusajaya sebagai kawasan riadah dan destinasi pelancongan.

“Kami juga akan membina dan menambah baik aktiviti di taman tema ini termasuk membawa dua artis terkenal dari Jepun,” katanya.

Pengunjung boleh menikmati keseronokan di Hello Kitty Carnival, dengan mencipta patung Hello Kitty sendiri atau menghias biskut Hello Kitty.

Pengunjung ke The Little Big Club boleh merasai pengalaman menghiburkan di Barney Beach Party, Thomas and Friends Bertie Bus Rides atau membina rumah dengan Bob The Builder.

Bagi menambah keriangan, taman tema itu menyediakan dua tiket untuk ke Sanrio Hello Kitty Town dan The Little Big Club yang dijual pada harga RM110 untuk pelancong asing dan RM85 untuk pemegang MyKad.

NUSAJAYA: Taman tema, LEGOLAND Malaysia kini bersedia menerima kedatangan pengunjung apabila dibuka secara rasmi pada 15 September ini.

Pengurus Besarnya, Siegfried Boerst, berkata pihaknya gembira kerana taman tema itu dapat disiapkan sepenuhnya untuk dibuka pada hari berkenaan. "Malah kakitangan LEGOLAND bekerja keras bagi memastikan segala kemudahan di taman tema ini dalam keadaan terbaik dan sempurna.

"Saya sendiri begitu teruja apabila melihat begitu ramai orang pada hari ini sempena hari terbuka khas untuk media dan tetamu jemputan," katanya kepada BH Online sebentar tadi.

Sehubungan itu, Pengarah Jualan dan Pemasaran LEGOLAND Malaysia, Thila Munusamy berkata, taman tema berkenaan menyasarkan kehadiran kira-kira 1.2 juta pengunjung pada tahun pertama operasinya.

Mengenai kemudahan pengangkutan untuk datang ke taman tema berkenaan, katanya, pengunjung boleh menggunakan bas yang beroperasi dari JB Sentral, Larkin, Gelang Patah dan Johor Premium Outlets (JPO).

Katanya, perkhidmatan bas dari Larkin ke LEGOLAND setiap 30 minit pada waktu puncak dengan kadar bayaran sebanyak RM12 manakala bas dari Singapura dari Singapore Flyer setiap 30 minit pada waktu sibuk dan tiba di taman tema berkenaan kurang sejam dengan $20 dolar Singapura seorang.

Bas turut disediakan dari Link Kedua. Pengunjung juga boleh pergi ke LEGOLAND Malaysia dari Lapangan Terbang Senai.

Terdapat lebih 3,500 tempat letak kereta disediakan.

Sementara itu, LEGOLAND Malaysia masih menawarkan rebat RM30 untuk pembelian pas tahunan berharga RM245.

LEGOLAND Malaysia adalah yang tunggal di rantau Asia dan keenam di dunia.

Kira-kira 1,000 petugas di taman tema berkenaan.

THE opening of the Legoland Malaysia theme park in Iskandar Malaysia here has offered new creative outlets and job opportunities for Malaysian youths, especially in Johor, say company officials.

Helping construct the Lego brick models in Legoland Malaysia, local model builders have not only been given the opportunity to make a living from their creative abilities, but are now also able to forge a unique career path, especially since Lego model buildings are to become Malaysia’s latest exports to other theme parks around Asia, they said.

Their skills would continue to be in demand with other existing Legoland parks, said Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of Legoland Malaysia.

"We are trying to hire more model builders here because we are very happy with the results. They learn very quickly and they have built fabulous (Lego) models so we want to use the existing model shop to provide models for our other existing Legoland parks and in the new Legoland parks we hope to build in the near future.

"We are looking at two sites in Asia right now. No fixed date has been set yet, but we want to open a new Legoland park every three to four years," he added.

For model builder, Ahmad Radhi Abdul Rahman, 25, from Johor Baru, working on Lego models was a chance of a lifetime as it allowed him to remain in Johor. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Skudai.

"My ambition has always been to be an architect but when I heard there was a model builder job here in Johor, I applied for it," he said.

"Initially, family and friends thought I was playing around with Lego, but as time went on, they came to understand what the job entailed. They support what I am doing and encourage me all the time."

Saying that the job was interesting and challenging, Ahmad Radhi added: "Unlike Lego that is sold commercially in boxes where the designs have already been decided on, a Lego model builder can recreate anything from reality. There is no limit to what we can create.

"In terms of career prospects, I could move on with my career path here and become a designer, a project manager or a project co-ordinator working on another Legoland development."

Another employee, Noor Amyee Suratman, 25, from Kota Tinggi, said the job allowed her to indulge in her creative interest.

"From a young age I liked art, drawing and colouring, so I feel it’s my sort of work. I am very fortunate.

"My parents and siblings are happy for me in securing this job because they know I’m interested in creative arts," said Amyee who has a diploma in photography and creative imaging from UiTM Malacca.

She is especially happy that in this new field, women can advance without limits to their achievements.

"There’s no need to think that a job like model building is strange or is just fun and games because you can go far in this field.

"You can improve your capabilities only by as much as you are willing to try. I want to work hard and build the models as best as I can."

Thirty-seven year-old Lee Khai Yuen from Kluang, who supervises the almost three dozen model builders at Legoland Malaysia, said there is strong demand for their skills and three recruitment exercises had been undertaken so far.

"There are only five Lego model shops around the world. As Legoland expands, there are more opportunities for model builders.

"Meanwhile, the construction of Legoland Hotel also means more jobs for model builders as there are going to be Lego models featured throughout the hotel and in the rooms," he added.

Legoland Malaysia is set to open on Sept 15 which will feature more than 40 rides, shows and attractions.

The centrepiece of the 30-hectare theme park is Miniland, which recreates several Asian landmarks by using more than 30 million Lego bricks, built mostly by the local model builders at Iskandar Malaysia.

The parks are marketed to families with younger children (11 and under), and although they have a number of roller coasters, they are not as numerous or as extreme as those in other parks, and there is a greater emphasis on rides suitable for younger children.

The parks are split into various areas, which are common between the parks. For example, all four of the parks include a Lego miniland, a model village which includes models of landmarks and scenes from around the world made from millions of genuine Lego bricks. Other features include a Lego Mindstorms centre (fun-based learning), Duplo Gardens (for smaller children), Driving area (including attractions such as Driving school, Boating school, Ballooning school and Fire Academy), My Town, Wild Woods, and Knight's Kingdom.

The parks' rides are all Lego themed; many are made to appear as if they are built out of Lego bricks. They tend to be based on one particular line of Lego: for example, a popular ride at all four parks is the Dragon Coaster, which is loosely based on the Knights' Kingdom Lego sets. Another popular ride is the Driving school, in which children can drive small electric cars made to look like Lego cars around a small road network, after which they gain a mock driving license. The exact set of rides varies between parks, although as with the Disney parks there is some overlap.

Legoland Malaysia is a theme park scheduled to open in Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia on September 15, 2012 with over 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions. It will be the first Legoland theme park in Asia upon its establishment. It will be the centrepiece of a 5,500,000 sq ft (510,000 m2) integrated complex in the Nusa Cemerlang industrial park, within the Iskandar Malaysia economic region, consisting of a lifestyle retail centre, offices, hotels, service apartments and residential units.

Besides the Legoland Malaysia, other Lego-themed attractions nearby will open sometime. The first one will be a Lego-themed water theme park opening in mid-2013 and the other one is The Legoland Hotel, a Lego-themed hotel located at the theme park and also the first to open in Southeast Asia which will open in the first half of 2014. The hotel is built under a management agreement between the company and LL Themed Hotel Sdn Bhd, a joint-venture company owned by Destination Resorts and Hotels Sdn Bhd and Iskandar Harta Holdings Sdn Bhd.

The cost of Legoland Malaysia and the water theme park is RM720 million, while The Legoland Hotel costs RM190 million.

Only halal-certified food will be served at the Market Restaurant of Legoland Malaysia. This includes local and foreign delicacies.

Legoland Malaysia targets 1.5 million visitors when it opens its doors and generate more than RM100 million in the first year of its operation.
