FULL CHARGING TIME:
It takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge an exhausted battery for ICD-UX200/UX300/UX400/UX200F/UX300F/UX400F.
Is it possible to charge the battery using a USB port on the computer?
Question:
Charging the battery using a USB port on the computer.
Answer:
Yes, it is possible. Using AAA Nickel hydride rechargeable battery, the battery will be charged when the IC recorder is connected to the computer.
However, even though the computer is turned on, you cannot charge the batteries while your computer is in the sleep, standby or hibernation mode. In such cases, change the settings on your computer so that your computer will not go into sleep, standby or hibernation mode.
This is an approximate time it takes to charge from an empty battery power to a fully battery power at room temperature. It varies depending on the remaining power and the condition of the battery. It also takes more time if the temperature of the battery is low, or if the battery is charged while you are transferring data to the IC recorder.
Notes
In case USB CHARGE in the DETAIL MENU is set to OFF, the battery will not be charged even though the IC recorder is connected to the computer.
While HOT or COLD is being displayed on the display window, the batteries cannot be charged. Charge the battery in an environment with a temperature range between 5 Celsius degree to 35 Celsius degree.

More than two USB devices are connected to the computer
Connecting more than two USB devices to the computer is not guaranteed. Connect only the IC recorder to the computer.
Playing back messages or files using the built-in speaker
While playing back messages or files using the built-in speaker, you cannot charge the battery. Stop the play back, and then connect the IC recorder to the computer.
HOT or COLD is flashing on the display window on the IC recorder.
While HOT or COLD is flashing instead of the remaining battery/charging indicator, the battery cannot be charged.
Charge the battery in an environment with a temperature range between 5 Celsius degree to 35 Celsius degree.
Alkaline battery is used.
To charge the battery, use the nickel hydride rechargeable battery.
If the battery charge does not start even after checking the above, a connection error might be a cause. Please check the connection to the computer with the steps below.
