Question:
What is the new Hotlink Rewards?

Answer:
The new Hotlink Rewards programme effectively replaces the existing Hotlink Rewards programme. Hotlink Rewards is open to all Hotlink subscribers. All your rewards points earned to date will still be maintained. Please refer to the Hotlink website (http://www.hotlink.com.my/) for the updated Terms & Conditions.

HOW TO EARN REWARDS POINTS

Question:
How can I earn rewards points?

Answer:
Enjoy 3x more Rewards Points until 31 December 2008. All you have to do is stay with Hotlink and do a single transaction top up of RM30 and above.
Your stay with Hotlink Points earned for every RM1 top-up
Less than 1 year 2 points
1 year to less than 3 years 2.5 points (25% more)
3 years and above 3 points (50% more)

Your points are automatically updated in your account by the 7th day of every following month. An SMS notification will be sent to you once the points have been credited. Points earned can be used to redeem airtime, SMS bundles and other exciting rewards.

Question:
What is the maximum amount of rewards points I can earn?

Answer:
There is no limit. The more you top up and the longer your length of stay with Hotlink, the more points you will earn.

Question:
What will happen to my rewards points if I terminate my Hotlink account?

Answer:
All unredeemed points will automatically be forfeited when your Hotlink account is terminated. You will not be refunded for these points.

Question:
Can I transfer my rewards points to another Hotlink/Maxis Postpaid account?

Answer:
No. Rewards points are non-transferable.

Question:
Are my rewards points transferable to my family members and friends?

Answer:
Your rewards points are non-transferable.

Question:
Will my rewards points expire?

Answer:
Yes, your points will expire two (2) years from date earned.

Question:
Can I earn rewards points through Share-a-Load?

Answer:
If you received Share-a-Load from another Hotlink subscriber, you will not be awarded rewards points. However, you will be awarded points if you receive a top-up from a Maxis Postpaid subscriber.

Question:
I have recently activated a new Hotlink Starter Pack. Am I entitled to rewards points too?

Answer:
Yes, you can start accumulating rewards points based on a total of RM30 or more monthly top up to your Hotlink account.

Question:
Will I lose my rewards points when I am deactive?

Answer:
You will not lose unredeemed rewards points when you are deactive. However, you must be active to redeem the rewards. If your account is terminated, your Hotlink points will also be forfeited without any refund.

HOW TO CHECK REWARDS POINTS BALANCE

Question:
Will I be charged if I use Easy Menu (*100#) service to check my points balance?

Answer:
No, you will not be charged.

Question:
How can I check my points balance?

Answer:
There are two ways to check your points balance: Easy Menu (*100#) - Type *100# and press send/call. Select “My Account”, select “Rewards” and press 1 to check your points balance. Hotlink Website (www.hotlink.com.my) - Register your phone number and password at the Hotlink website. Each time you log-in you will be able to view your latest updated points balance.
Please note that your points are updated within 5 days of every following month.

HOW TO REDEEM REWARDS POINTS

How can I redeem my rewards points?

Answer:
To redeem or check your rewards points, please follow these steps:
1. Dial *100#
2. Select ‘My Account’
3. Select ‘Rewards’
4. Press 1 to check your points or 2 to redeem for rewards

Question:
What can I redeem with my rewards points?

Answer:
You can use your rewards points to redeem airtime and SMS (Maxis to Maxis). Airtime redeemed will expire at the same time as any remaining credit you have in your Hotlink account. SMS redeemed has no expiry.
Watch out for exciting special promotions - just type *100# and press Call/Send or visit http://www.hotlink.com.my/ to view latest rewards.
Please note that you must be active to redeem rewards, and to use your redeemed airtime and SMS.

Question:
If I redeem airtime/SMS will I increase my lifecycle?

Answer:
No. The airtime/SMS that you redeem using your rewards points will not increase your lifecycle. Airtime redeemed will expire at the same time as any remaining credit you have in your Hotlink account. SMS redeemed has no expiry.

Question:
What happens to my redeemed airtime/SMS when I am deactive?

Answer:
Once you are deactive you have 90 days to top-up your account before your credit balance is forfeited. If you top-up within 90 days, you will not lose your redeemed airtime and SMS.
If you DO NOT top up within 90 days, your existing credit, including all airtime and SMS redeemed will be forfeited.
Question:
Can I use my redeemed SMS when roaming?

Answer:
Redeemed SMS is only valid when used in Malaysia. If you make calls and send SMS while roaming, you will be charged in accordance with existing roaming charges.

Question:
Can I make redemptions when I am deactive?

Answer:
No. You must be active to make redemptions.

Question:
Can I make multiple redemption requests?

Answer:
You can only make one redemption request at a time. Once you have submitted a redemption request, please wait for a notification that your request has been successfully processed before you submit another redemption request.

Question:
I have requested a redemption but have not received my rewards. Why?

Answer:
Most likely, your request is in a queue. The redemption process can take up to 24 hours. You will receive an SMS confirmation once your request has been processed.

Question:
Can I make changes once I have requested a redemption?

Answer:
No. Once the redemption request has been acknowledged, your rewards points will be deducted and no reversals or changes will be allowed.

Question:
What are the minimum points required to redeem?

Answer:
The minimum number of points required for redemption is 100 points.

Question:
When can I redeem rewards using my rewards points?

Answer:
You can redeem your points at any time, as long as your Hotlink account is active and you have sufficient points.

BIRTHDAY TREAT

Question:
What will I enjoy during my birthday?

Answer:
On your registered birthday, enjoy free Hotlink & Maxis calls just by staying more than 30 days with us.

Question:
How many times can I enjoy the Birthday Treat?

Answer:
Each unique mobile number can only enjoy the Birthday Treat reward once in “12 months” from the start date of the program, 1 August 2008.

Question:
Can I enjoy the free calls when my account is deactive?

Answer:
No. Your account must be active in order to enjoy the free calls on your birthday.

Question:
How will I know whether I am eligible to get the Birthday Treat reward?

Answer:
You will receive an SMS alert one day prior to your registered birth date provided during prepaid registration. For Malaysian subscribers, birth date must be the same as the first 6 digits of their new Malaysian Identity Card.
* Birthday Treat is applicable to Hotlink subscribers on the 3rd week from their sign up date onwards.

Question:
Can I enjoy the free calls if I receive the prepaid mobile number from another person?

Answer:
If there is a change of ownership and the mobile number has already enjoyed the Birthday Treat within the “12 months”, the particular mobile number will only be able to receive the reward the following 12 months.

Question:
Can I use the Birthday Treat “Free Calls” when roaming?

Answer:
The "Free Calls" is only valid when used in Malaysia. If you make calls while roaming, you will be charged in accordance with existing roaming charges.

Question:
Can I use the Bonus SMS in my account on my birthday?

Answer:
Normal charges for all other services will apply when you are enjoying the Birthday Treat Reward.


ANNIVERSARY TREAT

Question:
What will I enjoy on the anniversary of the day I signed up for Hotlink service?

Answer:
You will receive a surprise treat on the anniversary of the day you signed up with Hotlink. The offer will vary month to month.

Question:
How will I know whether I am eligible to get the Anniversary Treat reward?

Answer:
An SMS alert will be sent to you within the 1st week of your anniversary month indicating the surprise treat that you will be receiving. Anniversary Treat is applicable to Hotlink subscribers with minimum length of stay 1 year or more.

How many times can I enjoy the Anniversary Treat?

Answer:
Each unique mobile number can only enjoy the Anniversary Treat reward once in “12 months” from the start date of the program, 1 August 2008.

Question:
Will I receive the Anniversary Treat when my account is deactive?

Answer:
Yes. You will be able to receive and enjoy the reward as long as your service is maintained with Hotlink.

Question:
Can I enjoy the Anniversary Treat if I receive the prepaid mobile number from another person?

Answer:
If there is a change of ownership and the mobile number has already enjoyed the reward within the “12 months”, the particular mobile number will only be able to receive the reward the following 12 months.
